Expanding Across South Asia! Weichai-Powered Coaches Delivered in Batches to Sri Lanka

Recently, a batch of long-distance coaches powered by the Weichai WP10H engine was delivered to Sri Lanka, providing strong and reliable power for intercity passenger transport and bringing local communities efficient and dependable travel services.

The WP10H is a proven engine developed for the coach market. With robust power performance, leading fuel economy, and dedicated noise and vibration reduction technologies, it effectively enhances passenger comfort and overall service quality, supporting the modernization of Sri Lanka’s transport system.

In 2025, Weichai’s coach power solutions entered the Sri Lankan market for the first time. With outstanding product performance and attentive service support, Weichai has earned broad recognition locally. Today, more than 100 long-distance coaches equipped with Weichai engines are operating smoothly in cities including Kandy and Galle. Additional batches will be delivered in the coming period, providing solid support for Sri Lanka’s transport upgrade.
