Recently, Weifang Customs awarded the AEO Advanced Certified Enterprise Certificate to Shandong Weichai Import and Export Co., Ltd. Following its first AEO certification in 2017, Weichai has again passed the re-assessment under updated standards, injecting strong momentum into its expansion in overseas markets.

AEO, short for Authorized Economic Operator, is a program advocated by the World Customs Organization (WCO) to enhance trade security and facilitation. Customs authorities certify enterprises with high levels of compliance, strong credit standing and robust security management, and grant a range of facilitation and preferential measures, including priority customs clearance, reduced inspection rates and expedited release. As a result, AEO Advanced Certified Enterprise Certificate is widely seen as a “VIP pass” for international trade.
