We are One | The Story Behind a Service Elite: From Racing Driver to Service Professional

In 2023, Alvaro Para Aguirre joined Weichai and is primarily responsible for after-sales service in Colombia and neighboring markets. As a Weichai service manager, he brings a racing driver’s focus and resilience to his work, tackling challenges alongside colleagues and earning customer recognition through technical expertise and rapid response.

In December 2024, Aguirre competed in the inaugural Weichai Global “Service Elite” Competition and the grand final of the 6th Weichai “Service Elite” program. More than 200 domestic contestants and 20 overseas contestants advanced to the final round. With outstanding skills, he won First Prize.

In 2025, Aguirre’s passion for both work and racing took on added meaning. He proactively requested that the Weichai logo be painted on his race car and, with an impressive performance, secured a runner-up finish in one event of the TC 2000 Colombia Championship.

“Racing, for me, is a platform for communication, laughter and learning. It has given me so many unforgettable memories with my family and friends. My Weichai colleagues also cheer for me. Many people have come to know our brand through media coverage, which makes me proud and motivates me to keep giving my best on the track,” Aguirre said.

Over the past two years at Weichai, Aguirre has gradually become part of the Weichai family. He believes Weichai is the platform where he can grow, achieve new breakthroughs and pursue his dreams.
