Man Shengang Meets with Delegation Led by Yang Xianjin, the Party Secretary of Tianjin University

On July 10, Man Shengang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, met with Yang Xianjin, Party Secretary of Tianjin University and his delegation. The two sides held a discussion on further deepening the cooperation between the university and the enterprise.

Man expressed his welcome to the delegation from Tianjin University. He said that Shandong Heavy Industry Group’s Weichai Group has established a long-term strategic cooperative relationship with Tianjin University. The two sides have achieved fruitful cooperation results in advanced engines, new energy power, intelligent manufacturing, talent cultivation and introduction, and Tianjin University has provided great support for Weichai to continuously set new global records for diesel engine thermal efficiency. It is hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation among industry, academia, research and application, and work together to contribute more to the high-level self-reliance and self-strengthening of science and technology and the development of new quality productivity in China's equipment manufacturing industry.

Yang Xianjin introduced the recent development of Tianjin University and gave high praise to the achievements made in the past cooperation between the two sides. He said that Tianjin University will give full play to its strengths in related disciplines and talents such as mechanical engineering, further deepen strategic cooperation with Shandong Heavy Industry Group, promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific and technological innovation achievements, jointly create an original technology source in China's high-end equipment field, and help Shandong Heavy Industry lead the technological transformation of the industry and build a world-class enterprise.

After the event, Yang Xianjin and his team visited the Weichai Technology Exhibition Hall, the No. 2 Factory and the Product Testing Center in Weifang.
