At cippe2025, the world’s largest petroleum exhibition, Weichai unveiled a full lineup of products including the WP13 methanol engine, WP15H diesel engine, 16M33 diesel engine, and 12M55 gas engine. 。

Among these, the WP13 methanol engine emerged as a “Green Highlight”. Utilizing clean methanol fuel technology, it integrates high-efficiency combustion control with an advanced exhaust aftertreatment system, achieving significant reductions in pollutant emissions while cutting fuel costs by 40% compared to diesel engines. Meanwhile, the 12M55 gas engine features a vermicular graphite iron block and cylinder head, enabling it to withstand higher in-cylinder explosion pressures. Paired with a sophisticated control system and mature operating strategies, the engine can run fully automated and unattended.

Weichai’s B100 Pure Biodiesel Marine Power Garners International Spotlight

Coinciding with its success at cippe2025, Weichai also drew acclaim at the 19th Singapore Maritime Week, where it showcased its B100 pure biodiesel marine power solution—a breakthrough in green shipping.

As one of the industry’s promising pathways to net-zero emissions, B100 biodiesel represents a major step forward for sustainable marine propulsion. Weichai’s solution enhances combustion efficiency and reduces emissions, helping improve environmental performance on vessels while offering a viable route for global shipping companies to pursue green transformation.

During the event, Weichai also introduced its first long-term B100 marine trial project, developed in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence in Maritime Energy & Sustainable Development at Nanyang Technological University, China Classification Society, and Pinnacle Marine. The trial—set to run for 1,000 continuous hours in Singapore’s port waters—will collect vital data on engine performance, emissions, and operational feasibility, further advancing the cause of sustainable maritime development.
