Man Shengang Visits UAE and Asks the Group to Use Dubai as the Emtry Point for Accelerating the Localization of the Middle East Market

From February 26 to March 1, Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, went to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Anayn in the United Arab Emirates to conduct field research on overseas market development, visit strategic partners and major customers, attend important cooperation signing activities, further promote the local market layout and group business coordination, and accelerate the landing of internationalization strategy. Zhang Gengsheng, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, participated in the research as well.

Building a regional operation center for the Middle East and Africa markets

In the afternoon of February 28, Man Shengang visited DP World and had a discussion and exchange with DP World Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayim, reaching consensus on further promoting the Group's business development in the Free Trade zone and expanding cooperation in more areas. DP World is the world's leading provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions and one of the world's largest port terminal operators, providing integrated services of container terminals, free trade zones and logistics centers. Its Jebel Ali port in Dubai is the largest port in the Middle East, and the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone is the largest free trade zone in the Middle East.

Later, Man Shengang came to the Weichai Middle East Company located in the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone to investigate, visit local employees, and hold a business scheduling meeting. He pointed out that the internationalization strategy is the top priority of the current development of the group, and Dubai is the entry point for Shandong Heavy Industry Group to accelerate the development of the Middle East and Africa markets. Weichai Middle East Company should focus on the needs of local customers, continue to improve the competitiveness of high-end power products and brand influence, and accelerate the expansion of energy and power market. It is necessary to rely on Weichai Middle East to build a regional market sales center, storage center, training center, exhibition center and talent center, promote the group's enterprises to organize overseas and in-depth collaboration, enhance the competitive advantage of integrated solutions, and amplify the brand matrix effect.

In the morning of March 1, Weichai Power and India Sterling Green signed a new round of cooperation agreement in Dubai, deepening strategic cooperation around accelerating the expansion of the fast-growing Indian energy and power market. Jin Zhao, assistant general manager of Weichai Power, and Sanjay Jadhav, CEO of Sterling Green, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides. Man Shengang and Khurshed Daruvala, chairman of Sterling Green, witnessed the signing and delivered a speech. The two sides said that the signing of the new round of cooperation agreement reflects their confidence in the future and trust in each other, and will work together to provide the Indian market with high-level products and services that meet the needs of local customers, and establish a long-term, win-win and sustainable strategic partnership. Sterling Green is the largest single power generation OEM of Weichai in India. Since the cooperation between the two parties, Weichai engines have continued to grow rapidly in the Indian large-bore power generation market, especially in the middle and high-end application such as data centers.

ZTO Bus

Serving Dubai's smart green transportation with high-end buses

On the afternoon of February 26, Man Shengang visited Dubai Road and Traffic Authority and witnessed the signing of a purchase agreement between ZTO Bus and Sweidan Company. Sweidan company belongs to the Al Naboodah Group, one of the largest car sales companies in the region. Recently, ZTO Bus successfully won a large-scale bus order from Dubai Road and Transport Authority, including the first batch purchase of pure electric buses in the UAE, which is the first time for Chinese bus products to enter the public transport system in the UAE. It marks another solid step for ZTO Bus in the international high-end market. Li Pengcheng, general manager of ZTO Bus, and Medhat Shukuri, CEO of Al Naboodah Group, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides, while Man Shengang and Ahmad Bahrozyan, CEO of Dubai Road and Transport Authority, and Ajit Kumar, CEO of Sweidan Company, witnessed the signing and jointly cut the cake symbolizing cooperation. After the event, Man Shengang also visited the Dubai Road and Transport Authority benchmark operating terminal, which represents the highest standard in the Middle East and North Africa region in the field of public transport.

In the morning of February 28, Man Shengang visited UAE Transport Corporation and had a discussion with Peter Jorgensen, CEO, on deepening cooperation in the field of buses. UAE Transport is one of the leading transport service providers in the UAE and the largest customer of ZTO in the UAE, purchasing ZTO school buses, commuter buses, tour buses and other models in bulk. At present, ZTO Bus has become the Chinese bus brand with the highest market share in the UAE, providing high-quality solutions for the development of local transportation.

Sinotruk

Continuing to compete for the global leader as China's heavy-duty truck brand

In the morning of February 27, Man Shengang visited Galadari Group, the distributor of Sinotruk in Dubai, and had a discussion with Mohammed, Vice chairman and CEO of Galadari Brothers Group. The Group is one of the largest enterprises in the United Arab Emirates, and its subsidiary Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment Company is mainly responsible for the truck and equipment business, selling high-end heavy trucks under Sinotruck’s Sitrak brand, which has a high market share. Later, Mr. Man and his delegation went to ABU Dhabi to attend the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the dealer Galadari and major customers and the vehicle delivery ceremony of Sitrak. Galadari is one of the largest subcontractors of engineering projects in the UAE and an important customer of Sinotruk vehicles.

Shantui Group

Efficient cooperation to provide integrated construction solutions

In the afternoon of Feb 27, Man Shen Gang, accompanied by Mohamed, general manager of distributor AL Ain Holding, and Tariq, general manager of Abdalla-Alkamz Transportation and General Contracting Company, visited the Abu Dhabi Housing Department infrastructure project in the city of Al Ain. Shantui loaders, excavators, bulldozers and Sinotruk’s Sitrak dump trucks participated in the project's loading, excavation, backfill, formation and other operation scenarios to meet customer needs with integrated construction solutions. At present, Shantui continues to increase its efforts in the development of the UAE market, and the sales volume of a full range of construction machinery products has achieved rapid growth, and the brand awareness and influence have been significantly improved.

During the visit, Man Shengang also paid a visit to Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai. Relevant leaders of ownership enterprises such as Weichai Group, Sinotruk, Shantui Shares and ZTO Bus participated in the activities.
