On February 20, Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, arrived in Weifang to investigate Weichai Lovol Agricultural Machinery Factory and Weichai Central Research Institute, and discussed with Weichai's technology talents. Liu Yun, Secretary of the CPC Weifang Municipal Committee, and Ma Changhai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Group, participated in the investigation.

Weichai Lovol Agricultural Machinery Factory is mainly dedicated in manufacturing ploughing, sowing, plant protection, forage, drying and special harvest agricultural machinery products. Its high-end large agricultural machinery products, such as the 18-row precision seeders, large self-propelled sprayers, large rectangular balers, and continuous dryers, have become substitutes for imported products. Later, Man Shengang came to Weichai Industrial Park to investigate the Virtual Development Center of Weichai Central Research Institute, Product Test Center and Weichai Hydraulic Factory. He listened in detail to the work reports of Weichai Future Technology Research Institute, Weichai Engine Research Institute, Large-bore Engine Research Institute, New Energy Research Institute, Hydraulic Transmission Research Institute, Electronic Control and Software Research Institute, and Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, and had in-depth discussions and exchanges with representatives of frontline scientific and technological workers.
