On January 27, the day before the Chinese New Year’s Eve, Shandong Heavy Industry Group held a virtual New Year celebration connecting both domestic and overseas employees. Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, led the leadership team of the Group and its affiliated enterprises in a video call with overseas staff. They extended heartfelt greetings and New Year wishes to those who are steadfastly working on the frontlines of overseas markets, as well as to employees stationed at overseas subsidiaries.

Man Shengang remarked that 2024 was an extraordinary, highly challenging year for Shandong Heavy Industry Group. Amidst the complexities of the global economy and intensifying competition within the industry, the Group managed to identify opportunities amidst crises, forge ahead against difficulties, and achieve remarkable milestones in its overseas business. Product export revenue reached RMB 92.13 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, with overseas profits contributing an ever-growing share. Total revenue from overseas enterprises reached RMB 109 billion, maintaining steady growth, while total profits hit RMB 4.58 billion, a year-on-year increase of 31%. He extended heartfelt appreciation to overseas employees for their dedication and sacrifices, noting that they have put the interests of the group ahead of their personal lives, working far from their homeland, headquarters, and families. Despite numerous challenges, risks, and hardships, their tireless efforts have delivered significant achievements. Looking ahead to the new year, Man expressed his hopes that overseas employees would continue embodying the spirit of innovation, perseverance, and selflessness. He encouraged them to accelerate the Group’s global market expansion, enhance business synergies, and pursue sustainable development through innovation while staying rooted in the Group’s core values. He called on them to forge new paths for high-quality development, strengthen and expand the Group’s business, and make even greater contributions to the economic and social development of Shandong Province.

During the event, representatives from overseas operations, including the Weichai Group UAE Office, Sinotruk Kenya Office, Shantui Middle East Company, Weichai Lovol Bangladesh Office, Zhongtong Bus Uzbekistan Office, and Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Indonesia Office, delivered reports on their local operations. Additionally, employees stationed at subsidiaries such as KION Group, Linde Hydraulics, Ferretti, and Baudouin shared updates on their work. Overseas employees expressed their determination to live up to expectations, shoulder their responsibilities, and take bold actions. They pledged to make every effort to achieve a strong start in the first quarter, win the battle for steady improvement in overseas operations, and drive high growth in product exports. Their efforts aim to lay a solid foundation for achieving the group’s 2025 annual targets and contribute to its continued success.

This New Year gathering brought together over 900 participants both online and offline, including senior executives from Shandong Heavy Industry Group headquarters, leadership teams from major domestic subsidiaries, executives visiting overseas markets, employees from overseas offices, local distributors, and customers, along with personnel stationed at the Group’s overseas subsidiaries.
