Weichai Showcases High-End Marine Power Solutions in Shanghai

From November 25 to 27, the 6th International Commercial and Public Service Vessels Exhibition (Seawork Asia 2024) was held in Shanghai. Weichai’s high-end marine power solutions made a stunning debut, demonstrating the strength of its powerful "Chinese engines" and supporting the high-quality development of the industry.

 

At the exhibition, Weichai’s flagship high-end M-series products, the 6M21 and 8M21 engines, stood prominently on display. These engines, subjected to rigorous durability testing, are efficient, reliable, and ideal for high-end public service vessels. Featuring Weichai’s proprietary ECU and a high-pressure common rail system, they enable precise fuel injection control, reduce injection noise, and deliver significant advantages in fuel efficiency, environmental friendliness, and comfort.

The 8M21 high-end marine engine, in particular, drew significant attention as the star of the event. This engine inherits Weichai’s hallmark strengths, including safety, reliability, robust power, and a compact structure. Lightweight materials and vibration-reduction technologies enhance its performance, while an integrated intelligent cloud platform drives digital innovation. These features position the 8M21 as an ideal green and intelligent power solution, propelling the intelligent transformation and upgrading of high-end vessels.

Also on display was a lineup of public service vessels from Weichai subsidiary CB Company. The CB1500 high-speed boat, powered by dual 6M21 diesel engines and dual water jet propulsion, became a crowd favorite. With its powerful yet fuel-efficient design, it is suited for tasks such as river and coastal patrols, anti-smuggling operations, maritime control, and emergency rescue missions.
