Weichai Showcases Alternative Fuel Products at the 2nd High-Quality Inland Shipping Development Forum

The 2nd High-Quality Inland Shipping Development Forum, themed “New Inland Waterways, New Landscape, New Journey”, was recently held in Yichang, Hubei. Weichai showcased its alternative fuel products, including the WH20 micro-pilot ignition gas engine and WH17 methanol power system, drawing significant attention from attendees and securing bulk intention orders on-site.

The forum brought together representatives from over 200 organizations, including inland waterway management departments, port and shipping enterprises, research institutions, universities, and industry associations. Attendees collaborated to advance the high-quality development of inland shipping in the context of Chinese modernization.

Focusing on the theme of green power for inland vessels, Weichai actively participated in the Green Shipping Thematic Sub-forum, sharing insights and exploring innovative pathways to support the modernization of inland waterway transport. The company also hosted two exchange sessions on its energy-saving and environmentally friendly alternative fuel products, attracting numerous customer inquiries and on-site orders.

To promote the concept of green development, Weichai has established a comprehensive product lineup of medium- and high-speed engines using alternative fuels such as LNG and methanol. It has achieved breakthroughs in the demonstration and application of single-fuel LNG engines with micro-pilot ignition technology. These efforts exemplify Weichai’s commitment to product development and application expansion, contributing to energy savings, emissions reduction, and the green transformation of the shipping industry.
