Congratulations! Weichai Power Wins First and Second Prizes in the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards

On the afternoon of July 26th, the Provincial Science and Technology Conference was held in Jinan, where the winners of the 2023 Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Awards were announced. Weichai Power’s projects, "Key Technologies and Industrialization of High-End Engine Compacted Graphite Iron Casting" and "Key Technologies and Applications for Environmental Adaptability of Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines", were honored with the First and Second Prizes in the 2023 Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, respectively.

The Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Awards represent the highest honor in the province’s scientific and technological community. Through the "Key Technologies and Industrialization of High-End Engine Compacted Graphite Iron Casting" project, Weichai Power achieved a breakthrough in the independent development of high-performance compacted graphite iron materials for power equipment, driving technological upgrades across China’s engine industry and related industrial chains. This has significantly contributed to the high-quality development of China’s equipment manufacturing sector.

Similarly, the "Key Technologies and Applications for Environmental Adaptability of Heavy-Duty Diesel Engines" project has propelled technological advancements in upstream component industries and enhanced the performance and technology of downstream vehicles and construction machinery. This has established a core competitive advantage for heavy-duty diesel engines and complete vehicles in the international market, showcasing Weichai Power's contribution to China’s industrial upgrading and efforts in energy conservation and emission reduction.
