In the afternoon of February 8, Qingdao City held a discussion and exchange with Shandong Heavy Industry and Weichai Group. Zeng Zanrong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Committee, Zhao Haozhi, Deputy Secretary of the Qingdao Municipal Committee and Mayor of Qingdao, as well as Tan Xuguang, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Weichai Group, and Chairman of Sinotruk Group, attended the event.

Zeng Zanrong welcomed Tan Xuguang and his delegation to Qingdao and introduced the city's socio-economic development. He stated that Qingdao is currently implementing the important directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of Shandong and Qingdao, earnestly fulfilling the work deployment of the provincial sessions, resolutely focusing on the real economy in economic development, vigorously advancing advanced manufacturing, accelerating the promotion of new industrialization, and striving to take the lead in the construction of a modern and strong province. Shandong Heavy Industry is an industrial equipment multinational group with global influence, whose business direction is highly compatible with Qingdao's industrial layout, and the two sides have a good foundation for cooperation. He expressed the hope that Shandong Heavy Industry would further leverage its advantages in industry, technology, and talent, increase its investment and layout in Qingdao, gather more high-quality resources from the industrial chain, and push for more fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation between both sides. Before the meeting, Tan Xuguang visited the Weichai (Qingdao) Intelligent Heavy Industry Manufacturing Center and Weichai (Qingdao) High-End Marine Equipment Manufacturing Center to research the business operations. Tan Xuguang emphasized the need to create their own high-end intelligent products, and to make a strong start in the new year!
