In the afternoon of January 3, Hunan Iron and Steel Group and Shandong Heavy Industry Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Jinan. Li Jianyu, Party Secretary and Chairman of Hunan Iron and Steel Group, and Tan Xuguang Party Secretary and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Weichai Group and Chairman of SinotruK Group discussed and witnessed the signing of the agreement.

Li Jianyu said that Shandong Heavy Industry Group is a banner of China's equipment manufacturing industry. Its diversified business led the industry, and formed a set of unique, replicable model experience in the years of reform and innovation and development. It is a model to learn from for Hunan Iron and Steel Group. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen communication and cooperation, tap the cooperation potential, and work together to achieve higher quality development.

Tan Xuguang said that Hunan Iron and Steel Group is an excellent representative of the steel industry, and Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Hunan Iron and Steel Group have strong industrial complementarity and a good foundation for cooperation. It is hoped that the two sides will expand cooperation in material procurement, product research and development, industrial development and other aspects, build core competitive advantages, and jointly lead the transformation and upgrading of the industry.

Wang Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Xie Jiuyuan, Deputy General Manager of Hunan Iron and Steel Group, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides.
