Tan Xuguang and Isuzu President Katayama Masanori Have Discussions

On November 14, Tan Xuguang led a team to visit Isuzu Motor Co., LTD., Japan, and had a talk with Isuzu President Katayama Masanori. The two sides exchanged views on the future development of new energy commercial vehicles and powertrain systems, and in-depth exchanges on the future direction of hydrogen fuel cell technology development.

Katayama said that Weichai Power is a multinational group with strong scientific and technological strength in the global internal combustion engine field, leading the world in high thermal efficiency diesel engines, and playing a pivotal role in the global commercial vehicle field. Isuzu responds to the call of Japan's "hydrogen society" and is actively promoting innovation in advanced diesel power and new energy technology solutions. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and jointly tackle the challenge of "carbon neutrality".　

Tan Xuguang said that Isuzu has a world-renowned brand influence in the field of pickup trucks and light-duty trucks, and the development concept of focusing on innovation and quality is worth learning from. Weichai Power has completed the layout of the three new energy technology routes of pure electricity, hybrid power and fuel cell, and hopes to strengthen discussions and exchanges with Isuzu in the field of new energy and jointly lead the development of the industry.
