　　The Shandong Heavy Industry Group New Technology Achievement Exhibition with the theme of "Take Off! Shandong High-end Equipment Manufacturing" was recently held in the North Square of Shandong Hall. On the morning of June 16, 2022, Wan Gang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, visited the exhibition and investigated technological innovation work, accompanied by Li Ganjie, secretary of Shandong Provincial CPC Committee.

　　As a leading enterprise in China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry, in recent years, Shandong Heavy Industry Group has continuously intensified its technological innovation, breaking through a number of key core technologies and launching a number of high-end products that lead the industry's upgrading. This exhibition focuses on the major scientific and technological innovation achievements of Shandong Heavy Industry in recent years. China's first commercial hydrogen internal combustion engine heavy truck, Weichai's full range of powertrains in all fields, Sinotruk's "Yellow River" heavy truck with the world's lowest wind resistance coefficient, China's first hydrogen fuel cell snowboard waxing truck with independent intellectual property rights, and Zhongtong mobile epidemic prevention and control bus, are Shandong Heavy Industry's six major flagship products and core technologies in the exhibition, which has demonstrated the innovation strength and manufacturing level of Shandong's high-end equipment industry.

　　Wan Gang listened carefully to Tan Xuguang's report on the development of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and learned about the construction of the Group's industrial chain supply chain and talent introduction. He came to each exhibition wing to inquire in detail about product performance, technology research and development, production and sales, etc., and got on the snowboard waxing truck, nucleic acid detection bus and other vehicles. He hoped that Shandong Heavy Industry Group will anchor high-end equipment manufacturing, continue to strengthen scientific and technological innovation and make greater contributions to the realization of China’s scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement.
