National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Metrology and Testing Center Settled in Weichai at Shandong Province

　　At 9:00 am on May 19, the unveiling ceremony of the National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Metrology and Testing Center (in preparation) was held in Weichai. Weichai Power was approved to build a metrology and testing center for China's internal combustion engine industry. Zhu Meina, deputy director of the Metrology Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, read out the approval document of the Metrology Center. Hou Chengjun, Director of Shandong Provincial Market Supervision Bureau, Liu Yun, Deputy Secretary of Weifang Municipal CPC Committee and Mayor, and Tan Xuguang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Chairman of Weichai Power, inaugurated the National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Metrology and Testing Center and delivered speeches.

　　Tan Xuguang said that the National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Metrology and Testing Center will provide metrology and testing technical services for the entire industry chain, jointly solve the technical bottlenecks of industrial metrology and testing, and lead the technological upgrading of China's internal combustion engine industry to fully move towards a world-class level.

　　After the meeting, the participants visited the Weichai Internal Combustion Engine Metrology and Testing Center. Weichai Power started to build this world-class center five years ago, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan. It has a full range of measurement and testing equipment and was put into use on February 9, 2022.
