  On the afternoon of May 7, 2021, Tan Xuguang presided over a special science and technology conference. He listened to the report on the results of new technology development and application from 12 post-1980s PhDs and key technical personnel. He hopes that all young science and technology workers could let their dreams burn passionately in Weichai!


  At the meeting, focusing on engine emission technology, reliability technology, high-efficiency and clean combustion technology, and core technologies in the casting process, new energy, and electronic control, 12 post-1980s PhDs and key technical personnel from Engine R&D Institute, Future Technology R&D Institute, New Energy Technology Company and other departments reported in detail. Tan Xuguang listened carefully and communicated with them.

  Tan Xuguang proposed four requirements for young scientific and technological workers:

  First, bravely break into the unmanned area of science and technology, and build a solid technological foundation for the implementation of the Weichai 2030 strategy.

  Second, dare to challenge traditional thinking, innovate and develop unprecedented scientific and technological achievements.

  Tan Xuguang proposed that management at all levels should pay more attention to scientific and technological innovation, create good innovation ecology, establish efficient and clear mechanism for rewards and punishments, innovate talent introduction models, respect and encourage talents, and embrace talents, so that all young science and technology workers could let their dreams fly above the ground of Weichai!
