Shandong Heavy Industry Group Conveys the Spirit of 4th Session of 13th National People’s Congress

  At 9:00 a.m. on March 12, Tan Xuguang, deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC), hosted a video conference to convey and implement the spirit of the fourth session of the 13th NPC, communicating to all leading officials the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping to national lawmakers and political advisors during the "two sessions", and interpreted the government work report. Over 1,000 leading officials from the headquarters of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Weichai Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Zhongtong Bus, Shantui, and other affiliated companies in Shandong Province attended the video conference.

  According to the unified arrangement of the Shandong delegation, Tan Xuguang conveyed in detail the overall situation and main spirit of the meeting, and interpreted such main topics as technological innovation, digital transformation and carbon emissions, taking into account the actual development of enterprises. "This meeting is both pragmatic and forward-looking," Tan Xuguang said, "We need to accurately grasp China's evolution and shoulder the mission of building China into a great power through science and technology and manufacturing."

  Tan Xiguang put forward specific requirements for all officials and employees to study and implement the spirit of the fourth session of the 13th NPC:

  First, we should comprehensively and accurately grasp the content of the government work report and China's 14th Five-Year Plan, finding the entry point for enterprise development.

  Second, we should have keen insight into the connotation of high-quality development, and make efforts to achieve high-quality development in products, operations, and R&D.

  Third, we should further improve the Group's development planning during the 14th Five-Year Plan and the "2030+2060" strategy, accelerate business restructuring, speed up our efforts to develop new technologies and new business formats, reduce the risks of intermittent operation, and strive for a more robust and sustainable enterprise.
