In China, Asiastar is the only company that has been dedicated to bus manufacturing for more than 60 years.

As a trailblazer of Chinese bus industry as well as a practitioner of ‘China's bus dreams’, Asiastar has over half a century’s history in Chinese automobile industry and has broken numerous records in Chinese bus industry. For example, Asiastar made the first professional bus - JT663, the first distinctive sleeping bus - JT6970, the first rear-mounted chassis bus - JS6970H. Besides, bus JS6820 set a new record in single model volume sales. JS6126GHEV was the new energy-saving bus with the best fuel-saving rate in China. YBL6125H was awarded the best highway bus. Also, Asiastar created the first luxury bus meeting EPA2010 emission standards which was exported to the United States.

With investment from Weichai Group, Asiastar has undergone an important historical change. By taking full advantages of Weichai’s technological research and development, market development at home and aboard and service network, Asiastar has strengthened its strategic collaboration with Weichai and thus improved its overall competitiveness.

Currently, Asiastar owns two production bases, Yangzhou base and Xiamen base. Xiamen base covers an area of 100,000 square meters and it mainly produces high-tech new-energy hybrid buses, pure electric buses and Euro low-emission luxury buses, its products mainly exported to Europe, the United States, Australia and other developed countries. Yangzhou base has been expanded and put into operation in August 2013 with a capacity of nearly 30,000 vehicles. It has the first-class bus production lines and R&D laboratories in China.

Asiastar buses have passed many quality certifications such as ISO9001, 3C, ADR, DOT and CEC, and has gained qualifications for the United Nations procurement suppliers

Asiastar Coach has many sub-brands such as ‘Yaxing’, ‘FTBCI’ and ‘Yangtze’. Its products include 5-18m intercity buses, school buses, high-end sightseeing buses, urban buses, private coaches, luxury caravans, special vehicles and other environment-friendly buses. Asiastar has been not only well received in China, but also exported to North America, Australia, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa. Asiastar has established more than 500 distribution agencies and after-sale service outlets at home and aboard in order to provide one-stop network services for customers.

As a practitioner of ‘China's bus dreams’, Asiastar has undertaken the duty to build a sound image for Chinese buses and innovated the "star standards" (star power, star design, star craftsmanship and star wisdom) for Chinese buses. Also, Asiastar has invested heavily in high-end buses of WertStar series. It is our ambition to expand the world bus map beyond Europe.

The old Yaxing has now been upgraded to brand new Asiastar, and will surely open a ‘Star Future’ in Chinese bus industry.
