Baotou Steel Group Visits Shandong Heavy Industry Group - Weichai Group

In the afternoon of November 22, Meng Fanying, Party Secretary and Chairman of Baotou Steel (Group) Company, led a team to Shandong Heavy Industry Group and had a discussion and exchange with Tan Xuguang, Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Chairman of Weichai Group, at Weichai Power.

Meng Fanying said that Shandong Heavy Industry Group is a model of reform and innovation development of state-owned enterprises, and has formed many replicable and scalable experiences in the years of development, and is a model for Baotou Steel Group to learn from. She appreciates the selfless sharing of experience in reform and development, and hopes that the two sides will strengthen communication and exchanges, tap deeper cooperation potential and jointly achieve higher quality development.

Tan Xuguang said that Baotou Steel Group is the largest industrial enterprise in Inner Mongolia and an excellent enterprise in the steel industry. Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Baotou Steel Group have a good foundation for cooperation, strong industrial complementarity, and huge cooperation space in new energy business, equipment procurement, green and low-carbon development. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen exchanges, learn from each other, continue to enhance core competitiveness, and jointly move towards the world class.

Meng Fanying and the delegation visited the Future Science and Technology Exhibition Hall of Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Weichai High-tech Industrial Park. At the meeting, Weichai Group introduced its experience and practices in the reform of state-owned enterprises, scientific and technological innovation, cost control, digital transformation, corporate culture construction, talent team construction and other aspects, and the two sides conducted interactive exchanges.
