Weichai Power Announces 2017 Annual Results

On March 29, Weichai Power held its 2017 Annual Results Announcement Conference in Hong Kong. In 2017, Weichai Power’s operating revenue was 151.569 billion yuan, up by 62.7% year-on-year; the net income attributable to the mother company was RMB 6.81 billion, an increase of 178.9% year-on-year; and the ROE was over 20%.

In 2017, Weichai Power significantly adjusted its business structure, resulting in a more balanced product structure across all series of products and a great increase in the proportion of high-value-added products. It has successfully got rid of the dilemma of cyclical companies. In 2018, the market share of Weichai engines for heavy duty trucks will continue to increase. In terms of new energy, Weichai has already set the stage. In addition, the intelligent logistics sector is also playing a huge role.
