Weichai WP13:“King”of China’s 500+ Horsepower Engine

In Weichai’sNo.2 plant, the WP12/WP13 engine production base, the machines keep running and employees are work hard day and night. Such a hot, high-producing scene lasts since 2016. And the production and sales hit a new record high since the beginning of 2018.

They worked hard day and night and created an amazing performance of Weichai’s high-powered engines. For example, in just three years after its launch, WP13 series has seen a steadily increased performance and held a safe lead in market share, making it be among the top-ranked 500+ horsepower engines in China.

In the workshop that is brightly lit, Mr. Xia, a well-known technical expert in the industry, is quite busy. He leads his team to overcome technical difficulties and upgrade equipment, and has trained legions of excellent apprentices. It is these “great artisans” like Mr. Xia at Weichai, who teach their apprentices personally and hand down the spirit of perfection from generation to generation, that make “Made in Weichai” enjoy great prestige in the world.

Wang Xingchao, who is in his early twenties, entered Weichai as an intern not long before. His colleagues’ behavior of “counting one day as two and half a days at work” impresses him deeply. With their help, he grew up quickly and is now able to work independently. According to him, Weichai is a great company and he wants to stay.

At night, a forklift driver is loading the WP13 series products just rolling off the assembly line on the road of the industrial park, and the truck has waited there for a long time. Such a busy scenario can be seen 24 hours a day. The series of engines are in short supply. Whenever one engine is just off the assembly line, customers will scramble for it. It is exceptionally hard to work outdoors in the severe winter.

At 6 o’clock in the evening in the Weichai Industrial Park, Zou Qingqing is on the way home from work, where he runs into his wife Gao Min who just comes to work on the night shift, but has no time to talk with her and then hurriedly leaves simply after waving his hand.

They are the most ordinary Weichai people and also are the heroes who contribute silently to Weichai’s high production journey. They are committed to supplying the huge market with the best products. Pay tribute to these Weichai people who are working hard in the front line!
